Gudron platform approved

Gudron North Sea Field

Statoil and its partners have approved the development of the Gudron oil and
gas field in the Norwegian sector of the North Sea.

The Gudron platform will consist of a steel jacket weighing 7,100 tonnes
with living quarters of 40 cabins

The platform will be built by Aker Solutions at their yard in Verdal,
Norway at a cost of NOK 420 million.
(approx 45 million GBP)

The detail engineering starts immediately, with fabrication
starting at Verdal in July 2010.

The jacket will be delivered in the summer of 2011

The Gudrun field is located 55 km north of Sleipner in 110 metres of water. First oil and gas production
is expected by 2014.
